Hoi mensen van BoZ, ik ben Robert, uit Romania. Jammer genoeg is mijn Nederlands niet zo goed maar is genoeg voor verstaan een weinig van deze kleine maar erg complexe land. I will speak better Dutch next time we write! Our mission seems impossible but we are not alone. Youth of Europe joins us in the discovery of our common heritage. A trip into the abyss of time from which a more peaceful and reconciled future will arise.
I am from Feroll, a small town near Santiago de Compostella and when I say this to people, they all seem to know about my home. Because I grew up among pilgrims I am a little bit of a pilgrim myself, always looking and searching. Perhaps this is why AtlanticBridgechose me, because this fits quite well in the theme for the Europa Week.
After graduating, I studied a post degree in European policies and Institutional Communication and how could I better practice and understand European policies than by getting involved in an European project. So now here I am in The Netherlands, joining AB to organize Europe Week. Now I have the chance now to do what I have always wanted to do : to know, to compare, to grow, to share ...
Vriendlijke groeten dear Bergen op Zoomers, I am glad that through this letter we have the chance to introduce ourselves and keep you posted with every step that we make towards the international youth gathering that will take place in your lovely city. As an artist I see Bergen op Zoom the perfect place for this event because of the bohemian scenery, old buildings inhabited by modern and cosmopolitan people. I’m in The Netherlands for 9 months, enough time to give birth to an event that might be a crossing point for us as Europeans. Through this we have the chance to form the next generation of leaders.
So, dear Bergen op Zoomers, stay with us, or better join us in painting a better, colorful and more open future for our children.
