Cernilov-Hradec, Czech Republic

Regional status:

Fully Operational (FO). A Regional Support Team has been in existence since 2008. Regional co-ordinator is Bohunka Smolikova.

Geography:

Cernilov is a small village just outside a big city Hradec Kralove. It has one Zakladni Skola with about 200 students up to age 15. It also has one Roman Catholic church and a Lutheran church.

AB history:

The work in Cernilov started in the spring of 2008 through an exchange project between the Zakladni school in Cernilov and the Calvin high school in Tholen (NL). First students from Calvin came to Cernilov and in the spring of 2008 and in October 2008 a group from Cernilov came to Tholen. The coordinating was arranged by Bohunka Tominova and Nel Ottema and the RST in Tholen.

People:

Bohunka Smolikova and Radim make up the Regional Support Team so far.

Present situation:

A very young Bridgebuilders Club was started in December 2008 and, because of their age, will be preparing for their first exchange in the summer of 2010.

Starting in 2009.
