History

SLANY is a town just north of Prague with just over 15.000 inhabitants. SLANY means SALT MOUNTAIN. Even though we have had some projects with the Gymnazium of Slany in the past 16 years, we never did anything else but bring artists (Circuit Riders) to the schools. SLANY remains a bit of a mysterious town to us in terms of its history, youth culture, churches and heritage.

In the summer of 2013 an American First Contact team of eleven youth and youth leaders wrote the first full page about SLANY in the book of Bridgebuilders. After some searching we found a church interested in being our partner for this project. It is the Hussite Church. Together with the Slany Gymnazium a Bridgebuyilders Club is started at the start of 2014.
