Exchange Projects

Atlantic Bridge organises a variety of exchange projects for Bridgebuilders, both within Europe and between Europe and the United States. Some of these are organised by our partners and we mention them here as well.

Spring EuropeSpring Europe

  • The host country is in Europe. For instance: the Netherlands, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Sweden, Iceland, Hungary.
  • The trip lasts about 10 days.
  • You travel with a group of 8 to 10 Bridgebuilders. You prepare for the trip together and you meet at least once a month.
  • Accompanied by one or two youth leaders trained by Atlantic Bridge.
  • You visit schools and hang out with local youth.
  • You learn about the religion of a place.
  • You stay in different host families to experience the local culture

Summer EuropeSummer Europe

  • The host country is in Europe. For instance: the Netherlands, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Sweden, Iceland, Hungary.

  • You travel with a group of 8 to 10 Bridgebuilders. You prepare for the trip together and you meet at least once a month.

  • You hang out with local youth and do a project together.
  • You learn about the religion of a place.
  • You stay in different host families to experience the local culture.

  • The host country is the United States. Taking place in states like New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
  • The trip lasts about 10 days.
  • You travel with a group of 8 to 10 Bridgebuilders. You prepare for the trip together and you meet at least once a month.
  • Accompanied by one or two youth leaders trained by Atlantic Bridge.
  • You visit schools and hang out with local youth.
  • You learn about the religion of the culture.
  • You stay in different host families to experience the local culture.

Summer USASummer USA

  • The host country is the United States. Taking place in states like New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Massachusetts.
  • The trip lasts 10 to 21 days.
  • You travel with a group of 8 to 10 Bridgebuilders. You prepare for the trip together and you meet at least once a month.
  • Accompanied by one or two youth leaders trained by Atlantic Bridge.
  • You hang out with local youth and you may participate in a service project.
  • You learn about the religion of the culture.
  • You stay in different host families to experience the local culture.

Discovery TripsDiscovery Trips

  • These are short, low cost trips into a European country near you (not for USA Bridgebuilders) such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, UK.
  • The trip lasts 3 to 4 days (usually a weekend)
  • You travel with a group of 8 to 10 new Bridgebuilders. You get to know each other on the trip
  • Accompanied by one or two youth leaders trained by Atlantic Bridge.
  • You hang out with local youth.
  • You learn about the religion of the culture.
  • You stay in host families to experience the local culture.

Youth in Action

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) sponsors some of our Bridgebuilders projects. EVS is a Youth in Action programme provided by the European Commission for Youth.

Atlantic Bridge Newsletters

We publish a variety of email newsletters for different groups.

For subscription purposes, our lists are divided into three regions: Europe(RoW), USA and NL. The Europe and USA newsletters are published in English, the NL newsletters in Dutch.
