as a youth worker with no youth to work with. I love my job and this was killing me. I applied for other jobs The last year has been one of the hardest times I have experienced in my 15 years as a youth worker in Gravesend. 2 years ago we lost many of our families at church over a disagreement over a delicate matter. I sat there but nothing satisfied my thoughts. I had to make a decision to stay the course or leave. As soon as I had made the decision to stay and build up from the beginning again, I experienced God's peace. And the young people started returning. We serve a good God that knows our hearts. And he has a beautiful way of changing our will to His and building his Kingdom though us. I see similar things happening in other churches. Clearly we are ‘losing’ our solid ground but this is not the time to leave. I like this Gideon perspective and agreed to also join the Gideon Gang because this is where I connect with Atlantic Bridge and their vision of doing ministry. Even if times are difficult, we need to continue because it is not our work, but His.
